Ukraine’s Grain Export Shrinking by 14%

Grains export from Ukraine since the beginning of Marketing Year 2020-21 (MY July 2020 – June 2021) as of 23 September have comprised 10.773M t against 12.193 on the corresponding date of 2019, as we can see from the stats by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Agriculture (META).

In particular, the wheat export has amounted to 7.453M versus the previous 7.534M t, barley – 2.669M t vs 2.695M t, and corn – 0.619M t vs 1.933M t.

Besides, there have been exported 46,900 t of flour against 70,600 a year ago, including the wheat flour — 46,600 t against 73,100 t.

According to the data of META, the grain export in MY 2019-20 increased over the previous MY by 14% — up to the record of 56.727M t, including in particular 30.33M t of corn, 20.522M t of wheat and 5.076M t of barley.

As per the data by State Customs Service of Ukraine, the export of grains in 2019 boosted by 36.1% comparing to 2018 – up to 56.713M t, and in the pecuniary terms by 33.1% i.e. up to $9.637Bn.
