Tender Starting to Select Chornomorsk Port Concession FS Legal Adviser

International Financial Corporation (IFC) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have launched the procedure of selecting a Legal Adviser to participate in elaboration of the Feasibility Study (FS) and tender documentation for the concession projects in Chornomorsk sea port, as informed by Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU).

“MIU continues working jointly with international partners on development of concession projects in the maritime sector in accordance with best world practices, being the state’s priority. IFC and EBRD have started lately choosing a Legal Adviser to work on FS and tender documentation concerning both concession ventures in the sea port of Chornomorsk: it’s the concession of first (container) terminal and rail-ferry complex talked about. Our partners are going to select as well a Technical Consultant to secure the professional support of these both projects”, noted Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii.

It is pointed out that both concessions are entered into List of State Priority Investment Projects till 2023, as approved by Government.

MIU preliminary plans to announce concession tenders on both projects in Chornomorsk Port till the end of this year.

Let’s remind you that MIU took decision to prepare FS and tender documentation for the rail-ferry complex concession project in Chornomorsk Port with involvement and on account of international financial institutions (IFIs) by proposal of EBRD. “I am confident that the EBRD participation will promote the level of trust to the project by potential investors. Moreover, such participation of IFI will also enable us to save public funds”, the manager of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) Oleksandr Golodnytsky then commented upon.
