Ukrainian Agro Exporters Opening 8 New Markets for Half a Year

There are eight new markets opened for Ukrainian exporters and re-agreed upon 63 goods items in 11 states and international economic organisations, as reported by Press Office of State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection (Food Safety Service FSS)

According to the report, the markets of Japan, Libya, Argentina, and Lebanon have been won for Ukrainian milk and dairy manufacturers for the last six months. Ethiopia became open for Ukrainian chicken eggs producers, Serbia – for Ukrainian animal proteins, and UAE – for the livestock; Lithuania has allowed exporting arachnids from Ukraine to protect plants.

“It is an important priority for us to work on opening new markets for Ukrainian products exporting. This means new jobs for Ukrainians and incomes to the state budgets from relevant taxes”, declared Head of FSS Vladyslava Magaletska.

As per the FSS information, there are also 63 positions in 11 states and international economic organization re-arranged. First of all they are the CIS states where the new trade regulations are in force from 13 April 2021, since the former Agreement on Cooperation in the Sphere of Veterinary Medicine signed back in 1993, had become void. Due to changes of trade conditions the instruments were re-arranged with Singapore and South Korea.

It is noted that the EC audit as well was provided for aimed at evaluation of the official control over manufacturing and certification of milk and dairy products destined for the EU export. There also was the work carried out on the EU approving Ukraine’s zoning as regards the high-pathogenic bird flu, thanks to which the country has managed to renew the poultry products export to the EU from 20 March.

Now the work is on concerning other export markets opening. Some of the most prospective for Ukrainian export countries are the EU states, China, Singapore, India, Vietnam, South Africa, and Indonesia.
