The terminal Eurovneshtorg (EVT) at the specialised sea port Olvia plans to build 20 silos in 2020, as reported by Press Office of LLC EVT Grain.
As per the report, the first eight silos 8,800 CBM each are scheduled to be completed by 01 May 2020, and all the 20 – by 01 October 2020.
“We are starting the third and final phase of the grain terminal construction. It anticipates significant expansion of the silo storage capacities. Today there are 206,000 t launched at EVT, mainly in the floor-storage warehouses. We are going to add 20 new capacities more, and upon completion of the construction will be capable of accumulating over 350,000 t of grains and oilseeds at a time. The new silos will be a bit more spacious than the existing ones. They’ll be located according to the design on the yard between two floor-storage warehouses”, told LLC EVT Grain Director Sergiy Gunko.
The first eight silos are to be delivered by the company Adept having won the tender by way of presenting the best cost, terms and quality. The building works are already on according to the schedule. The equipment supplies will start in February 2020 and last till late March.
The construction’s schedule envisages the new capacities readiness as follows: on 01 July – 12 silos, on 01 September – 16 silos, the rest four silos are to be installed by 01 October 2020.
The storage capacities having increased and additional handling equipment launched, the terminal’s yearly throughput capability will amount to 3M t with an option of enlarging it to 4M t.
Meanwhile in Reni sea port the second phase of a grain cargoes storage complex construction has completed for the private enterprise Trans-Expo, the port authority’s Press Office reports.
As per the report, the investment project provides for erection of a storage complex on the yards of Berths 19 and 20. The complex will enable to annually tranship 250,000 t of grain cargoes, and secure 50 ships calls more. The project’s implementation will last in 2020 too.
“To realise the project, technological equipment was purchased at Ukraine’s machine-building plants”, conveys the report.
The sea port of Reni is situated on the left bank of the Danube river 63 nm from the estuary. It’s designed capacity is 7.7M t a year on 33 cargo berths at 3.957 km waterfront.
In 2018 the port enhanced its handling numbers comparing to 2017 – by 18.5% i.e. up to 1.332M t, thus sharing 0.9% of Ukrainian ports’ entire throughput, against 0.8% in 2017.
