Dredging works performed by Chinese CHEC at the Yuzhnyi Sea Port exceeded 2 million cubic meters

As of 19.10.2017, China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) performed works amounting to 2,001,700 cubic meters upon Сargill and MV Cargo grain terminal and water area construction near the berths No. 23-25, (Port of Yuzhny) i.e. exceeding the scheduled volume by 25.8%.

Contractors achieved such result due to the deployment of four dredging convoys: Darun 27, МР-26, Jinhangjun 407 and Darun 36. Therefore, total scope of dredging works under the project “Reconstruction of water approaches, maneuvering areas and operation water areas with regards to prospective cargo flow at the Yuzhnyi Sea Port, Odessa Region.

First phase of dredging works makes up 4,393,075 cubic meters. Port administration states that the plan will be 50% complete in the nearest future (Yuzhnyi Sea Port Authority press service).
