USPA Announcing Tender for Environment Monitoring on Danube Estuary

Delta Pilot, the branch of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), has announced a tender on public procurement of the services on complex monitoring of ecological situation during the operation of navigation route the Danube – the Black Sea for 2021 – 2022.

The tender was proclaimed at the site of open bidding ProZorro, the cost declared amounts to 2.7M UAH, bidding offers submission deadline 22 February, and the auction is to take place on 30 March 2021.

The contractor is going to fulfil the works on environmental monitoring till 20 August 2022. The area of monitoring embraces the sea access of the deep-sea navigation (DSN) canal the Danube – the Black Sea, as well as the maritime hydraulic spoil bank for the dredged bottom sands 8 km seaward from the mouth Bystroe.

The purpose of services: securing control of the environment situation during the operation of DSN the Danube – the Black Sea; assessment of the harm inflicted to environment components resulted from operational dredging, and identifying possible negative impact of the same on the Danube estuary’s ecological state.
