In particular, they are going to introduce the vessels traffic online monitoring, provision of communication sites in the territory of Ukraine and abroad, as well as monitoring of cargoes’ upkeep.
A mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine has signed a memorandum with Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company on utilisation of solutions based on internet of things (IoT) in the field of transboundary river transportations.
Most notably, the company will implement the online monitoring of its vessels traffic, secure the communication objects both in Ukraine and overseas, and also provide monitoring of the cargoes’ maintenance.
“We have also agreed upon the use of Big Data analytics for further creation of efficiency forecast and losses prevention systems. we expect that the cooperation with UDSC will be successful and become an example of how digital technologies could be employed to enhance an enterprise’s efficacy”, Vodafone Ukraine Vice Director General Andrii Bolshakov declared during the document’s signing.
