The construction of a new berth has been finalised in Odessa Port being a part of the large investment project realised by Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) under the financial support of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

“About 10 years Berth 1-z of Odessa Port has been regarded as a construction-in-progress asset. And it is only now that the building works on site and laying of utility networks are fully completed by joint efforts of USPA, the port’s management, and contractors (the companies Brooklyn-Kiev and Louis Dreyfus Ukraine), actively backed by EBRD and private partners”, noted Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii.

it was also reported that at full readiness the asset’s length is to reach 254 m, width – 35 m, and waterfront depth – 12 m with further prospect to 13.5 m.

“These characteristics will be enough to berth Panamax vessels of 60,000 DWT and more”, added by the ministry.
