MIU and EBRD Talking Online on PPP

Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU) jointly with its European partners keeps on preparing a number of public-private partnership (PPP) projects in sea ports of Ukraine. These are the development projects concerning Odessa Port Passenger Complex, Chornomorsk Port ferry and container terminals as well as the public stevedore of Berdiansk Sea Port talked about. The realisation of those is going to enable improving the industry’s general situation and to favour new investments involving for development.

That was emphasized by Minister Vladyslav Kryklii during his online meeting with EBRD representatives in respect of the MIU further steps towards realisation of PPP projects on 17 August.

“We implement and ready to further implement forward-looking PPP projects in Ukrainian sea ports as there are not only new investments in the ports development and infrastructure, but also enhancement and growth of the whole sector. I am grateful to our EBRD partners for their incessant support and cooperation. There is a lot of plans ahead, we’ll work on”, noted the head of Ministry.

Vladyslav Kryklii and the EBRD executives have discussed possibilities of rendering assistance in the feasibility study (FS) development for the project based on the state enterprise (SE) Berdiansk Sea Trade Port and in the elaboration of pre-FS for the Odessa Port Passenger Complex development project as well as some other potential ventures.

The parties have also discussed PPP projects in the air transport sphere.
