Motor Roads Agency of Vinnytsia Region has declared bidding for the development of feasibility study on the bridge over the river Dnister to be built at the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border in the vicinity of residence places Iampol (Ukraine) and Cosăuţi (Moldova).
In particular, the construction of an overpass over the river Dnister is planned as well as of the 1.6 km approach to it from the Ukrainian side.
Besides it, there are 137.5 km of the Kyiv – Chișinău route to be repaired under the project at the separate parts of М-21 and Р-08 roads.
“Today we are at the start of the process to create a renovated path between the two capitals of Ukraine and Moldova. The feasibility study procurement is the first step. In parallel we are getting ready to refurbishment of the route’s 137.5 km which is about the most problematic plots as concerns the road passage. hence, by the end of the year we plan to make the way towards the border comfort for a voyage”, noted Head of Ukravtodor (Ukrainian State Roads Corporation) Oleksandr Kubrakov.
The renewed route will pass Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions.
Let’s remind you that in January 2021 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Moldova Maia Sandu have signed Memorandum on Development of the Transport and Transit Potential of Ukraine and Republic of Moldova, in particular envisaging construction of the automotive thoroughfare between both capitals.
