On its way the train is going to pass a sea section. This route is an alternative to that via Mongolia.

The container train from China People’s Republic has started by a diversion route using both railway and maritime transport.

The new itinerary passes the port Pervomaisky (Vladivostok, RF). The railway leg from Mys Churkin station (RF) by the Russian Railways (RZhD) tracks is provided by the company Evrosib, while the Ukrainian company EU Trans secures it by Ukrainian Railways tracks to Kyiv-Liski station.

There are 41 forty-footers launched within the first train on the 31 80” flatcars. The boxes are already delivered by sea from China to Vladivostok and sent further on by the route to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian company has noted that they hope to boost the China transit via Ukraine to the EU with the help of this alternative route. The train should pass the sea part of the itinerary (port operations included) expectedly by 10 days, the part of RZhD – by 8.

Let’s remind you that in summer 2020 the direct and regular container trains started to shuttle between China and Ukraine. The trains passed Mongolia and the RF. There were 22 such trains’ voyages to Kyiv performed till the end of last year.
