The volume of basic cargoes traffic (grains, metals, construction materials et alii) by the Dnipro river in January-March 2021 enlarged in comparison with the last year’s same period by 66% or 719,700 t – up to 1.81M t, as the data by Ukrainian River Information System (UkrRIS) show.
In particular, the following items’ transportation increased:
- construction materials and other cargoes — by 78.7%, up to 1.052M t;
- grain cargoes — by 33.3%, up to 586,600 t;
- metal products — 2.8 times, up to 171,000 t.
There was no traffic of containers and oil products in January-March 2021 by the Dnipro.
The number of Dnipro voyages rose by 85.5% or 892 passages — up to 1,948.
According to the data by UkrRIS, the volume of basic cargoes traffic (grains, metals, oil products, construction materials et alii) by the Dnipro river in 2020 shrank comparing to the previous year by 4.8% — up to 11.229M t. The number of voyages by the river reduced by 3.4% or 404 travels – down to 11,579.
