The Turkish maritime developer company Aras is going to take part in bidding for the state enterprise (SE) Stevedoring Company Olvia assets concession.
As the public stevedore’s Press Office has reported, a delegation of Aras had visited SE SC Olvia on Thursday. In the course of the visit the Turkish firm’s representatives met the public stevedore’s manager Ruslan Oliynyk and inspected the company’s production area and capacities.
“Aras who work over 25 years in the sea port sector, have applied to IFC, EBRD, and SE USPA (Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority) on their intentions in respect of participation in the concession tender”, pointed out the Press Office.
Aras Marine is specialised in hydraulic construction, marine geotechnical surveys, environment pollution clearance, rescue and towage operations. The company has implemented projects in Georgia, Israel, Romania, and other Black Sea and Mediterranean countries.
The SE USPA invites Ukrainian and international investors to take part in the SE SC Olvia and SE Kherson Sea Trade Port (KSTP) assets concession projects Road Show scheduled on 01 October 2019 in Odessa.
Last week Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (MIU) announced the start of concession tender for the SE SC Olvia and SE KSTP public stevedores’ assets and the corresponding assets of SE USPA.
According to Head of the Public-Private Partnership Project Office SPILNO of MIU Taras Boichuk, the bidding procedures are to be conducted in compliance with the legislation in force as of today, while the agreements to be signed by the tender winners would contain provisions of the new Law on Concessions.
