Risoil Winning Kherson Sea Port Concession Tender

LLC Risoil-Kherson has won the tender on the state enterprise (SE) Kherson Sea Trade Port (KSTP) assets concession.

LLC Risoil-Kherson is a consortium of LLC Petro Oil and Chemicals (Georgian Industrial Group), and Risoil S.A. (Switzerland), the Georgian share being 60%, and Swiss – 40%.

As it was reported before, in December 2019 the four contenders passed the scrutiny for the short-list to bid for SE KSTP public assets concession, namely Busserk Liman İşletme Loj. Hizm. LTD.ŞTİ (Turkey), LLC Special Company Sea Port Kherson (the stevedores Asket Shipping – 40%, and a grain trader LLC Global Grain – 60%), LLC Ukrmorport (PJS Kremehcnuk River Port – 10%, the daughter company of Yuran LLC DP Yurol – 40, and LLC Legal Firm Justice & Law – 50%), and the actual winner LLC Risoil-Kherson.

Let’s remind you that both pilot projects (Olvia and Kherson) were approved by MIU on 23 June 2016. The projects’ feasibility studies (FS) were developed by the consortium of international consultants established by EBRD and IFC including Castalia, EY, MTBS Ukraine and others. The FS embraced a system analysis of the market and financial, technical, environmental, and legal expert evaluations.

The company Risoil S.A. was founded in 2000 in Genevea (Switzerland) and operates terminals in Chornomorsk (ex-Illichivsk) and Pivdenny (ex-Yuzhny) ports, west- and eastward of Odessa city, mainly focused on vegoils and grains export handling, having offices and production sites in the EU, Ukraine, and Georgia.
