Concession Bill to Become Priority for Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policies

The would-be head of parliamentary committee on economic policies has named the concession bill a priority.

The candidate for the position of Chairman of Committee on Economic Policies of Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine Dmytro Natalukha considers the draught Law on Concessions a potential top priority in the Committee’s work.

“We are considering both the registered bill and other wordings too. Besides, we are receiving proposals for it from various associations and expert circles. However, we have to analyse them all with regard to their equidistance from different areas of influence”, said Mr Natalukha.

He has also stressed that the mentioned bill’s final wording should be maximally comprehensible and failing to favour any companies or financial-industrial groups.

“This law is long expected. It can alert investors that there are structural changes going on in the country – in favour of the business, in favour of its relationships with the state simplified”, said the probable head of the economic policies committee.

As for the committee’s future work plans Mr Natalukha noted the intention to provide regular meetings of the government and business delegates.

“Hopefully we shall manage to introduce sessions in the triangle ‘a Minister – the corresponding Committee – the relevant industry’ if not weekly then at least every fortnight. I cherish it”, explained Mr Natalukha.
