Risoil to Invest $70M in Chornomorsk Terminal Development

The company Risoil S.A. is investing $70M in enhancement of its liquid and grain cargo complex in Chornomorsk Port. This was announced by the Risoil terminals group Director General Maksim Shirokov during the session of Odessa Regional Development Council on Saturday.

“This sum will be invested in the framework of the memorandum on cooperation signed with USPA. The authority undertakes to deepen the access channel to 16 m. To successfully realise this project and port’s development the company Risoil has already built new storage capacities and installed the ships loading machine Neuero.
Now in the framework of public-private partnership (PPP) it is planned to build a two-side jetty, marine gallery second phase, and reservoirs for 150,000 m3 dry bulk cargoes storage”, the company’s press office reported.

LLC JV Risoil Terminal operates Berth 11 of the sea port Chornomorsk rendering services on transhipment of edible liquids since 2001. The grain complex was launched in March 2016.

In the first half of the marketing year (MY) 2018-2019 Risoil increased grain and products handling as compares with the same period of MY 2017-2018 by 2,6%, namely by 22,000 t i.e. up to 874,000 t. The vegoil throughput for the period amounted to 467,000 t.
