Ukrainian Parliament in the first reading voted for the law on concessions

On Tuesday, April 3, 240 people’s deputies supported in the first reading the draft law “On concessions“.

“Property remains a state, but now has a chance to attract strategic international investors in the Ukrainian economy in a transparent environment. For the state is increased government revenue, thousands of new jobs, new technologies and transparent business culture and rules,” – wrote in Facebook the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian.

The head of the parliamentary Committee on economic policy Andrii Ivanchuk noted that the bill, in particular, differentiates between regulating concessions and other forms of public-private partnerships, simplifies the procedure of allocation of land for concession projects, establishes a uniform procedure for decision-making in all forms of public-private partnerships, including concessions. About it writes “Interfax-Ukraine”.

“The right of ownership to the object of concession, in local territorial communities,” said Ivanichuk.

During the preparation of the document for the second reading needs to be refined, in particular, the question regarding the concession of the contest.
