“Specifically, this year we expect the launch of three projects. According to the head of the USPA, the aggregate throughput of these three terminals is 9.5 million tons. The MV Cargo complex will be able to handle up to 5 million tons per year, the terminal in Berdyansk is 0.5 million tons, Evrovneshtorg is 4 million tons.

Veckagans also noted that in 2019 the grain terminal in the port of Mariupol will start operating on the basis of SE Mariupol Commercial Sea Port (MMTP). “We hope that next year it will start operation,” said the top manager. The construction of this terminal began in the summer of 2017. Earlier, the approximate date for launching the of he first phase of the terminal was scheduled for the end of 2018.

According to the USPA forecast, due to the increase in terminal capacities, Ukrainian ports will be able to handle 40.1 million tons of grain in 2018 – almost 1 million tons more than a year ago.
