One of the largest port operators in the world, the UAE’s group of companies “DP World”, which operates 78 terminals in 43 countries, has confirmed its interest in investing in the Ukrainian port industry.
This was discussed during the meeting of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with CEO of “DP World” Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the press service of the Head of State reports.
“Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem confirmed his company’s intentions to invest in the Ukrainian port industry and expressed hope for the further successful implementation of the projects of ‘DP World’ in Ukraine,” the statement reads.
During the meeting, the President outlined the PROGRESS of reforms in Ukraine aimed to ensure favorable business climate. He also informed the interlocutor on the plans to privatize state-owned enterprises.
Petro Poroshenko thanked Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem for his consent to join the National Investment Council under the President of Ukraine.
